Every year, as Rabi’ul Awal approaches, the committee begins putting together An Nahl’s Maulid Nabi gathering – a night set aside to remember the life and character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This year is no different, and preparations are already underway for a gathering this August, in sha Allah.
The exact date, time, and guest speaker are still being finalised with the Bidang Peribadatan & Dakwah team, and will be announced on this page and through the masjid’s Instagram and WhatsApp channels as soon as they’re confirmed. What we can share now is the shape of the evening, and how the jamaah can be part of making it happen.
What to expect
As in previous years, the evening is built around three simple elements: a reminder of the seerah, sholawat led together as a congregation, and time to share a meal as one community. It’s less a formal ceremony than a chance for the jamaah – old faces and new – to sit in the same room and be reminded of why we gather here every week.
“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
What to expect
Maulid Nabi runs entirely on the jamaah’s time and infaq – from setting up chairs, to preparing food, to welcoming guests at the door. If you’d like to help with any part of the evening, or if your family would like to contribute toward the event, reach out to the committee on WhatsApp and someone from Bidang Hubungan Masyarakat will follow up.
We’ll update this post as soon as the date and speaker are locked in – insha’Allah, we hope to see the masjid full that evening.
